Brandie J. Belanger

Brandie was born in Enterprise, Alabama. She is a 1998 graduate of Buffalo State College, and a 2008 graduate of Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. While in law school Brandie spent her summers as an intern for the Honorable Robert J. Mellon of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas and represented the Commonwealth as a certified legal intern for the District Attorney’s Office of Bucks County. In addition to her summer internships, Brandie participated in a civil litigation clinical as a certified legal intern for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.

After law school, Brandie began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jonathan Mark, of the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. As a judicial law clerk Brandie was exposed to a variety of legal issues and proceedings, including Juvenile Court matters as well as civil and criminal proceedings.  In July of 2009, Brandie joined Kash & Fedrigon as an associate.  While still practicing in family law, Brandie is extending the firm’s legal practice into the field of criminal law as well as wills, trusts, and estates.

In her first full year with the firm, Brandie successfully tried two custody trials and is in the midst of a third, while handling a number of other matters in Monroe and the surrounding counties.

Prior to attending law school, Brandie lived in the Adirondacks, Buffalo, North Carolina, and Okinawa, Japan. While living in North Carolina, Brandie volunteered as a mentor for Lifestyle Insights Networking Knowledge Skills (L.I.N.K.S.), at United States Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. As a mentor for L.I.N.K.S., Brandie educated hundreds of Marine Corps spouses regarding the history and culture of the United States Marine Corps, the financial realities of being a Marine Corps spouse, how to survive a deployment and a move, and how to make every new community your home.  Due to her efforts at L.I.N.K.S., and her devotion to the artillery community, 10th Marines Regiment inducted Brandie into the Artillery Order of Molly Pitcher on January 7, 2000.

During her three years living in Okinawa, Japan, Brandie worked as an assistant language teacher (ALT) at Gushikawa Junior High School. As an ALT, Brandie taught English to Japanese Junior High School students. Her time as an ALT in Japan gave Brandie the opportunity to be submersed in the Okinawan culture and become a part of the community rather than exist as a tourist in Japan.

Now, Brandie is intent on making the Poconos her home. She enjoys spending time with her family attending local events and activities. Additionally, Brandie is an active member of the Young Lawyer’s Division (YLD) of the Monroe County Bar Association. As a member of the YLD, Brandie helped organize a school supply drive for the local Monroe County Elementary Schools in order to give back to the people of her new home, Monroe County.
