Jeffrey J. Kash Jeff was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1961. He is a 1983 graduate of Penn State University and a 1988 graduate of Vermont Law School. While in law school he represented the school in the Law School Division of the American Bar Association and served on the course evaluation committee.
Jeff started practicing law in 1988 as an associate in the firm of H. Alan Vican. During his years with Al Vican, he represented clients in a wide range of legal matters, including federal RICO cases, personal injury cases, estate planning and administration, family law matters and criminal defense. He also acted as solicitor for two zoning hearing boards and a municipal authority.
In August 1991 Jeff opened his own firm. The firm started, as so many new firms do, in the general practice of law, providing the full range of legal services for private clients as well as businesses and property owners associations. He also worked as a part-time public defender in 1991 and 1992, providing criminal defense in the trial and appellate courts.
After years of successfully practicing the many areas of law involved in a generalized practice, Jeff began concentrating his practice in the area of family law, representing clients in divorce, support, child custody and adoptions. Jeff also acted as court appointed Divorce Master and Master in Partition.
Jeff’s practice is now devoted almost exclusively to family law. In the last several years he has represented clients in hundreds of custody conciliation conferences and support conferences as well as dozens of custody trials, support hearings and divorce master hearings.
In 2004, the firm expanded with the addition of Attorney Kimberly Fedrigon. Kim is now a partner with Jeff. In 2009 the firm added an associate, Attorney Brandie Belanger.
In addition, for more than five years, Jeff taught Business Law as an adjunct professor at East Stroudsburg University. He has also presented and authored materials for continuing legal education seminars for other lawyers. He is currently the chair of the County’s Pro Bono committee helping to develop new ways to provide legal services to under privileged clients and is on the Pocono Medical Center Ethics Advisory Board and the Northampton Community College Paralegal Program Advisory Board.
